Sandra G. Parrillo is the past President and Chief Executive Officer of The Providence Mutual Fire Insurance Company, Providence, RI. She joined The Providence in 1977 as an underwriter and served in several underwriting and management positions. In 2000, Sandy was elected to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of The Providence Mutual Fire Insurance Company and retired in February 2021. Sandy serves as a director of Washington Trust Bank, Cranston Print Works, Champlin Foundation, the University of Rhode Island Foundation and Alumni Engagement, the Rhode Island Public Expenditure Council, the Insurance Commission of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence, the Vice Chairman of the Governing Committee of the Rhode Island Joint Reinsurance Program, Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees and Director of the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce. Sandy has a BS in Business Administration and a BA in Mathematics from RI College, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island and received an Honorary Doctorate from Bryant University. Sandy was awarded the designation of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter in 1986 and the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor in 2000.
