WARWICK, RI. (April 30, 2018) – Providence Mutual made a donation of $1,000 to Camps Fatima & Bernadette, the Catholic camps of New Hampshire, which provides boys and girls throughout the region with excellent camping experiences each summer. The contribution was made in recognition of Leonard Ryer’s service to Camp Fatima over three decades. Len is Vice President, Marketing & Communications at Providence Mutual and has been involved with Camp Fatima’s regular season, Special Needs Week and Exceptional Citizen’s (EC) week since 1982. He currently serves on the camps’ Board of Directors and works every August as a counselor at EC Week, an all-volunteer camp providing a full camping experience to children and adults with mental and physical disabilities. Len was awarded the recognition at the camps’ Triennial Recognition & Scholarship Night at St. Anselm’s College in Manchester, NH.
“We are very happy to support Camp Fatima and Len’s work at the camps,” said Sandy Parrillo, President & CEO of Providence Mutual. “At our company, we encourage our employees to be involved in their local communities to carry on the mutual tradition of helping each other. Len’s longtime association with Camp Fatima and the recognition of his efforts is well deserved.”
