Under Tom's leadership, he and his team have earned claim customer satisfaction scores averaging over 95% which represents some of the highest scores in our industry. Tom has worked to expand the capabilities and experience of our claims professionals in order for us to help policyholders return to their normal lives quickly after they experience a claim. After Super Storm Sandy struck at the end of October 2012, the claims team delivered on the insurance promise by successfully resolving 96% of the claims that were reported prior to year’s end.
Tom joined Providence Mutual in 2005 after serving as a Director of Casualty Claims within the Agency Markets division of Liberty Mutual. In that role he worked with regional carriers throughout the United States.
Tom earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Adelphi University and holds the Senior Claims Law Associate designation from the American Educational Institute. He currently serves on claims committees for the Massachusetts and Rhode Island Property Insurance Underwriting Associations as well as for the Property Casualty Insurance Association of America. He has previously worked on the Rhode Island Governor’s Insurance Council sub group on disaster preparedness and is a past member of the Boston Association of Claims Executives and the Central Claims Executive Association.
Tom and his family reside in Brooklyn, Connecticut.
