Howard Adams, AU, CICAssistant Vice President - Commercial Lines
Howard Adams, AU, CIC, is assistant vice president of commercial lines of The Providence Mutual Fire Insurance Company. He joined the Providence in May 1988 as a personal and commercial lines underwriter. In January 1989, Howard was promoted to senior marketing representative and assigned to the Massachusetts territory. In January 2000, he was brought inside to handle the commercial underwriting responsibilities and was promoted to commercial lines supervisor in January 2003. Prior to joining the Providence, he served as a traveling underwriter for another New England Mutual insurance company. Howard graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 1972 with a degree in Business Administration. He was awarded the Associate in Underwriting (AU) designation in 1987 and the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1992.
